Quite simply, DIAGNOdent Tooth Decay Discovery Technology is like a laser pointer. Using this advanced dental diagnostic tool allows Dr. Tracy to find, target and treat small problem areas before they turn into larger issues.

 

How does this advanced tooth decay discovery system work?

Dr. Tracy uses the DIAGNOdent hand piece to scan your teeth. The harmless pulses of laser light find decay under the surface of the tooth, causing a fluorescent glow. This fluorescent light bounces back to the DIAGNOdent sensor, where it turns into signal you can hear. Simultaneously, the sensor gives a digital readout, providing Dr. Tracy with tooth decay analysis information.

 

The DIAGNOdent Tooth Decay Discovery Technology system has proven to be more accurate than traditional dental methods in finding cavities, tooth decay and gum diseases in their earliest stages.
